Rubious have been a long time supporter of Survivors In Transition (@survivorsuffolk) so we were delighted to assist them in delivering their new report which was distributed at the Focus on Survivors conference, held at the University of Suffolk on the 24th July 2018.

The Report titled, ‘I’ll be a survivor for the rest of my life’, gives it’s readers insight into Understanding Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuses’ Experiences of Support Services.

The conference aims to bring together all those involved in delivering or commissioning services for survivors of childhood sexual abuse (including practitioners, commissioners, statutory & VCS providers) to better understand and improve the journeys that survivors navigate.

Survivors In Transition are a Suffolk based charity that support men and women who have experienced sexual abuse in childhood,  through a range of trauma informed, psycho-educational activities including one to one and group therapy, counselling, advocacy, research and training to become empowered and improve self esteem and resilience.

To find out more on the brilliant work they do, how you can volunteer to help the cause or donate to allow them to continue to do this selfless work, please visit their website – www.survivorsintransition.co.uk.

Survivors in Transition are committed to becoming a leading authority in the area of childhood sexual abuse and have launched two game changing pieces of research in partnership with University of Suffolk. In July 2018 Rubious assisted us with the production of a high quality report which has been disseminated nationally and is being used to inform policy and the response to survivors of sexual abuse across health and social care settings. Rubious have supported SiT for years, developing and maintaining our fabulous website and supporting us with other design requirements –  we have become accustomed to their friendly and accommodating but extremely professional approach in dealing with a difficult subject area with sensitivity – and the report produced for us this year was no exception. We are extremely grateful for the enormous part they played in making #focusonsurvivors2018 such a success.
